Our Beliefs
We believe:
The Bible is a God-inspired work of The Holy Spirit led men, and is infallible Truth with no error. ( 2 Peter 1:19-21 )
That there is One Unity in the Godhead, as three persons - The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit ( 1 John 5:20 )
That Salvation from sin and eternal damnation comes through faith alone, in Jesus alone. ( Romans 10:9-13)
That the Church was born on the Day of Pentecost and includes everyone that has been born again in Christ Jesus.
That the church exists to present the Gospel to those that are lost, equip believers to present The Gospel, and be a place of Refuge and living Fellowship apart from the world.
That Baptism is by full immersion as displayed by Jesus Himself. ( Matthew 3:13-17 )
Our History
It started like this, in 2011 Trenton native D.J. West and his wife Janie, after serving honorably in the United States Navy founded Broken Spoke Biker Church. Our first service was May 15th 2011
​
We were located in downtown Pollocksville North Carolina, until September 2018, when hurricane Florence permanently destroyed the church building. At that time, we worshiped together wherever we could, continuing the Lord's Work.
​
In June 2019, D.J. preached his final service with Broken Spoke and fulfilled a lifelong desire to live in the mountains in his retirement.
​
Between June 2019 and October 2019 the deacons of Broken Spoke fulfilled their duties and stepped up to continue in the pastoral role.
​
In October 2019 Chris Allen took on the role of interim pastor... a role he would become accustomed to as he eventually became the permanent pastor.
​
In January 2020 Broken Spoke moved to our current location in Maysville North Carolina.

Our people
When you walk into Broken Spoke, you will notice that we are just regular folks that love Jesus and each other. There are no “groups” but one group - the church.
We like to cut up, joke around, laugh with and learn from each other’s experiences.
We help each other, love each other, and lean on each other.

Some of us ride motorcycles and some don’t.
We dress for comfort not fashion. We keep things simple because Jesus was simple.
Our sign has said from our very beginning : “ Come as you are no judgement” and we mean it. You will find a people that love without judgement and never shy away from The Truth of God’ Word.
